As the end of the year grows closer a few of the publications that we’ve submitted are being brought to the public. A new paper by Oliver Schoppe et al, a collaboration between the Erturk lab and Menze lab was published in Nature Communications this month titled. “Deep learning-enabled multi-organ segmentation in whole-body mouse scan”. Here Schoppe et al cover the new AIMOS algorithm which we can use for organ segmentation that is as good as a human segmenter but orders of magnitude faster. This opens up new opportunities for unbiased processing of imaging data by removing the human component. Read the paper here
